ABOUT

As a Vice President of Engineering in a prominent international high tech engineering firm, I recognized the critical role of leadership in team excellence. However, in the high-tech sector, managers often hold technical backgrounds rather than management education. Also, managers are incredibly busy and have a very pragmatic and analytical approach that does not fit with most coaching services that are offered. I wanted to offer a tailored, efficient, analytical path, based on results from the person's current reality.

 

When I was managing high potential leaders, I sought qualified individuals with technological expertise and an analytical approach to support me and my team (because I would have loved to do it myself, but I was too busy).  But I could not find such support.

 

I have therefore founded Mango Leadership to offer executive leadership development for high tech leaders.

​I have succesfully:

​

  • Owned the Product Creation Process and related Project Management for the business line

  • Cumulated more than 20 years of experience in engineering.

  • Ensured the execution of the product roadmap 

  • Managed System Engineering & Program Management for the business line

  • Managed development pertaining to requirements from the installed base by Continuous Engineering, including complaint resolution and customer calls

  • Collaborated with the other Business Lines in order to deliver a comprehensive solution to the customer by leveraging the platform from the Enterprise Software group

  • Managed direct reports for 15 years, including target setting, coaching, feedback and performance management 

  • Created teams that are able to deliver constant value to the customer 

  • Improved Product Life Cycle Management processes in the business line, in coordination with a centralized function

  • Managed inter-relations between research, development, product management and product quality and service 

  • Driven concept exploration, pre-development and application development for the business line

  • Together with Supply Chain Management and Manufacturing, assessed potential supplier innovation collaborations and technical assessment of new proposed suppliers and/or moving up the BoM activities 

  • Ensured the long-term competence development and a sustainable people pipeline.

  • Managed up to 200 persons in a globally-distributed organization (across 5 countries, and five time zones)

  • Increased eNPS (employee Net Promoter Score) by 43 points in first year in role as VP and Head of Engineering.

  • Won the President’s Award in 2017 for outstanding contribution

  • Lead the effective utilization of resources deployed across the organizational line, including a budget of $50M USD
